Dr Philippa Whitford is a Scottish politician and a Member of Parliament for the Scottish National Party in the Central Ayrshire Constituency. She was born on 24 December 1958 in Dunfermline, Scotland. She attended the University of Glasgow, where she studied medicine and worked as a breast cancer surgeon before being elected as an MP.
Dr Whitford was first elected as a Member of Parliament in the 2015 general election. She was re-elected in the 2017 general election and again in the 2019 general election.
