William Wragg was born on 11 December 1987 and grew up in Hazel Grove. From 2011 to 2015, he served as a local councilor for the Hazel Grove ward on Stockport Council. He has been serving as the MP for Hazel Grove in Greater Manchester since May of 2015.
Wragg attended Poynton High School and enrolled at the University of Manchester to study History. He was once a school governor in 2008 and was defeated in the 2010 elections for the Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council. 2016 During the 2016 Brexit, Wragg was very active in campaigning for the exit of the EU membership referendum.
He carried out social activities as a community manager and pushed for various petitions meant to serve the people. Wragg is a vice-chairman of the 1922 Committee.

William Wragg won 21,592 votes out of a possible 44,269. This represents a 48.8% share and a 4,423 majority in his constituency. There was a voter turnout of 69.9%.
