Mohammad Yasin is a British-Pakistani who was born on 15 October 1971 in Mirpur, Pakistan. He graduated from Degree College Mirpur with a Bachelor of Commerce degree and moved to Bedford, Bedfordshire at the age of 21. Soon after moving, he got a job as a taxi driver and this launched his political career after joining trade unions which finally landed him in the Labour Party.
From 2009 to 2019, he was serving as a Bedford Brough Councillor. He was elected as MP for Bedford in the 2017 general election with a majority of 789 votes.
